The Strength, Speed, Agility, and Quickness class is designed to introduce the basic components of strength training to help the young athlete increase their power and stamina. Speed is defined as the ability to move the body in one direction as fast as possible. Agility is the ability to accelerate, decelerate, stabilize, and quickly change directions with proper posture. Quickness is the ability to react and change body position with a maximum rate of force production. All three components combined with traditional strength training will enhance the athlete’s overall sport-specific training, increase their cardiorespiratory threshold, and provide variety in movement direction and position. If you are looking to gain an edge over other athletes in your sport, this is the class for you. Light free weights and medicine balls will be used in this class. All levels welcome, as modifications will be provided. Come ready to sweat and work!
